madonna in the painters vision at first half of XVI century

Pictures are from www.wga.hu by search for title Madonna and period 1500-1550. The most famous painters are not represented in this collection ( eg. Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raffaello, Tiziano). If you are wonder who are they you can reproduce my strategy. Music: Giovanni Battista Pergolesi: Stabat Mater 2. Cuius Animam Gementem/ Jorg Waschinki soprano, Cologne Chamber Orchestra/conductor Helmut Muller-Bruhl This music not fit the pictures by words, but some picture foreshadow this sadness. Cuius animam gementem, contristatam et dolentem pertransivit gladius. Through her heart, His sorrow sharing, all His bitter anguish bearing, now at length the sword has passed. Note: Pergolesi died when he was 26.
