Umbria Spoleto

Spoleto is a beautiful town inhabited since the Bronze Age. Spoleto was the citadel of many rulers. The majestic Rocca di Spoleto was a Papal Residence ( XIV-XVII c.). Lucrezia Borgia was a governor of the city in XV c. She was sent here by his father - bad Pope Alexander Borgia.The Duomo contains Filippo Lippi's last frescoes cycle, his tomb and lovely fresco by Pinturicchio.
